21th Annual Congress of the EUROPEAN COLLEGE OF SPORT SCIENCE
Between 6th and 9th of July 2016 there was the biggest European Congress of sport science of the EUROPEAN COLLEGE OF SPORT SCIENCE, which took place in Vienna – Austria.

Almost 3000 congress participants from all over the world made the 21st annual congress second largest congress in the history of ECSS. Our company S2P and subsidiary company Cycling Science were also present on the congress. On our congress exhibition place we presented our products for use in medicine and sports to interested visitors/partners.



On the congress, there was also our business partner – Swiss company KISTLER, which is specialized in force plates. Among other, they presented a new version of force plate software MARS 3.0, which was developed by our engineers. Dr. Nejc Šarabon, S2P director led the workshop "Force plate measurements in prevention and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries”. The life demo presentation covered three main topics in which force plate measurements support decision making processes:
- return to play after lower extremity traumatic injuries,
- postural symmetries as the base of functional movement and
- trunk stability and low back pain.

Dr. Nejc Šarabon and dr. Borut Fonda also presented researche findings from their two research:

Dr. Fonda also won a Young Investigator Award 2016. Congratulations Borut!
